In August, Davido discussed how he and his wife, Chioma, had bounced back after losing their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
Davido and his wife, Chioma, lost their three-year-old son, Ifeanyi. Late Ifeanyi drowned in a pool at the singer’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos State, in October 2022.
Speaking in a recent interview with ABC News’ Rocsi Diaz, Davido stated that losing his son changed his perspective about life and his career.
He also said he was proud of how he and Chioma handled the loss and were able to bounce back.
The music star revealed that their strength has become a source of inspiration for many. He recounts how people approached them on several occasions to express their appreciation for inspiring them to be strong during hard times.
“Stepping away after losing my son and being able to look back into my career, gave me a refocus of how I wanted to move going forward. It changed my life.
“I know how many who randomly come to me at the airport to tell me how my strength has inspired them in hard times. I was telling me wife the other day that I’m proud of how we bounced back. Now, we got twins. They are big and shouting everywhere. For us to be able to go through the lost of our son and be able to bounce back in a major way is huge,” Davido said.
