Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, aka 2Baba, has urged people to focus on the urgent issues plaguing the country rather than his personal life.
On December 12, 2025, the singer made the declaration while entertaining his audience with his hit songs during a live concert.
Speaking to the audience, 2Baba stressed that rumours about his marriage to Natasha Osawaru, a politician from Edo State, have been going on for far too long.

He emphasised that rumours regarding his private life should not take precedence over considerably more significant national issues.
The singer noted that after years of entertaining Nigerians through his music, it was time for the public to channel their attention to issues that genuinely affect the country.
He said; “Make una ignore all that nonsense. Some serious things are happening in Nigeria. I’ve entertained you all enough. Let’s focus on more important things.”

In the widely shared appeal dated November 12, the Idibia family asked Nigerian police to look into situations they said had cost 2Baba money, given them emotional distress, and damaged their reputation.
According to the petition, the singer’s family was informed by him and other witnesses that he had been physically assaulted in Abuja and the UK, and that Natasha had transferred money from the music icon’s bank accounts without his consent.
She was also accused of withholding the musician’s international passport and other personal documents, preventing him from honoring business engagements, which has exposed him to public embarrassment and potential financial setbacks.
While raising concerns over his safety and emotional well-being, the family urged the police to investigate alleged violation of marriage laws, and possible fraudulent misrepresentation.
According to the report, the singer was yet to complete divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Annie Macauley Idibia before Natasha presented herself as his new wife.Family games
