Famous Nigerian car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, aka IVD, has been released and cleared of any involvement in his late wife Bimbo Ogbonna’s death.
On Monday, December 15, 2025, IVD was exonerated following a three-year court fight with Bimbo’s family, who had suspected him of killing her.
Blessing CEO, his new partner and self-described relationship guru, announced on her Instagram site. Blessing CEO urged her followers to leave unhealthy marriages or relationships as she celebrated IVD’s court triumph.
“Discharge and acquitted 15th December 2025. It ended in praise.
4 years of tears and false narratives.
Nigeria justice system still works.
I’m proud of my country. IVD. You can now have your life back. Congratulations.
“If marriage or relationship no Dey work please run ooooooo, run oooooo, don’t wait for anybody to pass. Run,” she stated.
Bimbo died in October 2022 after sustaining injuries from a fire incident linked to domestic violence at their Lagos residence.

In March 2023, IVD was arraigned by the Lagos State Government and charged with involuntary manslaughter before being released on bail.
He was later rearrested on August 1, 2025, while travelling to Qatar ahead of his wedding with Blessing CEO by the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
Self-acclaimed relationship specialist Blessing Okoro, aka Blessing CEO, has disputed that her fiancé, IVD, assaulted her.
BlessingCEO posted a graphic video of the assault on her Instagram page and demanded immediate assistance.
She expressed concern about IVD’s mental health in a since-deleted video, claiming that she was in distress and that her partner was abusing her.
Many internet users condemned her for standing up for IVD when his late wife’s relatives accused him of domestic abuse in response to her plea for assistance.
Speaking in the midst of the criticism, the self-described relationship expert stated that her tweet was misinterpreted.
She explained that the video she shared had nothing to do with domestic violence, saying it was recorded during a robbery incident.
She said:
“You all should bring proof that I was beaten by IVD. IVD is someone’s brother, he is someone’s son. Why do you want me to lie that he beat me? Why do you people want to force me to accept domestic violence that doesn’t exist?”
