Nigerian music legend Tiwa Savage has discussed her long-running conflict with fellow performer Seyi Shay, providing new details about the salon altercation that went viral years ago.
The “Somebody’s Son” singer said on the Saturday release of the Off Air with Gbemi O and Toolz podcast that the rift between her and Seyi Shay started with a diss track and rumors that she had attempted to obstruct possibilities for other female artists in the business.
The singer refuted the accusations, emphasizing that she has always supported women and would never try to impede the advancement of another artist.
“If you do something to me I’ll tell you directly, not online. I’m not going to pretend we’re cool when you did a whole diss track about me,” Savage said.
The singer further disclosed that she was hurt and confused when she first heard about the claims that she had “blocked bags” for Seyi Shay and Victoria Kimani, insisting there was no truth to the allegation.
“That was painful, and I didn’t know where it was coming from. Till today, maybe I need to have a conversation with Shay,” she stated

Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian Afrobeats artist, has revealed that she has been celibate for the past three years.
Savage clarified that since her previous romance ended three years ago, she has been alone, making her celibate.
She claims that she only feels the need for closeness when she is in a romantic relationship.
In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the musician made this revelation.
“I have gone three years without sex. It is not something I really like or crazy about. I have to be in love to have the urge for sex. I have to be with someone for me to even think about it.
“I don’t even have sex toys. Maybe, I need to. Maybe, people need to get me toys for my Christmas presents,” she expressed.
Recently, Tiwa Savage talked candidly about her horrific experience in a toxic relationship with a well-known Nigerian.
According to her, the relationship was “disrespectful,” and her boyfriend cheated on her by taking advantage of the fact that it was a covert one.
Tiwa Savage claimed that after putting up with her partner’s adultery for a while, she finally left.
