The English Premier League Matchday Four produced frustrating results for Liverpool and Chelsea as both sides were held to draws on Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool were held to a barren 0-0 draw by Fulham at Anfield, the club’s third draw of the season, while Chelsea were forced to share the points with unbeaten Hull City following a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea made a fast start through Morgan Rogers, who opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Hull City responded with Mohamed Belloumi scoring twice in the space of six minutes, in the 28th and 34th minutes, to turn the game around.
João Pedro restored parity for Chelsea in the 66th minute, but the Blues could not find a winning goal as Hull held on for a valuable point.
Hull’s unbeaten run continued after four league matches, while Chelsea were left with another frustrating result.
At Anfield, Liverpool also struggled to find a breakthrough against Fulham as the visitors secured a goalless draw.
The Reds had 56.1 per cent possession and recorded 14 shots, with three on target, while Fulham registered 10 shots and four on target. Liverpool also had five corners compared to Fulham’s eight.
The result leaves Liverpool with six points after four matches, while Fulham picked up their first point of the campaign.
Chelsea moved to seven points after four matches, while Hull City increased their tally to eight points and maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
The two results ensured that both Liverpool and Chelsea dropped points on Matchday Four as the Premier League table continues to take shape.
