Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has removed Fulham-related pictures and videos from his Instagram account following the club’s difficult start to the 2026/27 Premier League season.
The development comes after Fulham suffered their third consecutive league defeat under new manager Álvaro Arbeloa, losing 3-2 to Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage on Saturday, September 5.
Fulham had earlier suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Sunderland before losing 3-2 at home to Chelsea, leaving them without a point from their opening three Premier League matches. The Cottagers have scored four goals and conceded seven during that run.
Iwobi started Fulham’s latest match against Crystal Palace and was substituted in the 82nd minute as the hosts suffered another defeat.
The 30-year-old also reached a notable Premier League milestone during the game, becoming only the fifth player in the competition’s history to make at least 100 appearances for three different clubs. Iwobi has represented Arsenal, Everton and Fulham in the Premier League.
Iwobi is not the only Fulham player whose Instagram activity has attracted attention. Emile Smith Rowe has also removed Fulham-related content from his Instagram account, although it remains unclear when the changes were made or whether they are connected to the club’s poor start.
The social-media activity has coincided with further online speculation about the mood within the Fulham squad.
Brazilian winger Kevin, who has started all three league games on the bench and was an unused substitute against Crystal Palace, posted a cryptic message reading “No speak, no hear, no see” after the defeat. There has been no confirmation that the post was directed at Arbeloa or Fulham.
Reports have also circulated about a comment allegedly made by Kenny Tete to a supporter following the Palace defeat, but that report has not been independently confirmed and should therefore be treated with caution.
Despite the growing speculation, there is currently no confirmed evidence that Iwobi’s decision to remove Fulham-related posts represents a disagreement with Arbeloa or an indication that he wants to leave the club.
Fulham will now look to end their losing run when they travel to face Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture, with Manchester United also awaiting them later in September.
